Our Story

Every great gathering starts with a single tile.

A Tuesday Night That Changed Everything

The first time we played American Mahjongg, we didn't know the rules. We barely knew the tiles. But somewhere between the Charleston and the last discard, something clicked — not just in the game, but in the room.

Four women around a table. Tea going cold. Laughter that didn't need a reason. A game that had been passed down through generations, carried from kitchen tables to clubhouses, from mothers to daughters, from one Tuesday to the next.

We walked home that night thinking about one thing: why doesn't this game have the accessories it deserves?

It Was Never Just About the Tiles

American Mahjongg is a 1920s invention, but the feeling it creates is timeless. It's the standing game at the country club. The weekly ritual that outranks everything on the calendar. The reason the phone stops ringing.

We watched women who wouldn't miss a Tuesday for anything — through moves, new jobs, grandchildren, heartbreaks. The game was the anchor. The table was the meeting place. The tiles were just the excuse.

But the mats were thin. The bags were forgettable. The racks wobbled. For a game this loved, the gear didn't match the devotion.

From Game Night to a Brand

We started with a mat. A real one — thick enough to silence a dropped tile, grippy enough to stay put through a tense wall, beautiful enough to leave on the table when guests came over.

Then came the tile bags. Personalized, because a mahjongg set is personal. It has your name on the rack and your card tucked inside. Your bag should know that too.

Every product starts with the same question: would we want this at our table? If the answer isn't yes, it doesn't ship. That's the whole rulebook.

"We don't make accessories for a game. We make accessories for the people who love it."
